VisiblyBot is the crawler behind VisiblyAI, an AI on-site SEO and GEO optimization service. This page explains what it does and how to control it.

What VisiblyBot crawls

VisiblyBot only crawls sites whose owners have registered them in Visibly and verified ownership (via a meta tag or a DNS TXT record). It does not crawl sites at random and it does not crawl a site until that site's owner has proven they control it.

Good-citizen crawling

  • It honours robots.txt directives.
  • It rate-limits itself and crawls politely to avoid load spikes.
  • It identifies itself clearly with the user-agent string below.

How to block VisiblyBot

If you would rather VisiblyBot did not crawl your site, add a standard rule to your robots.txt:

User-agent: VisiblyBot
Disallow: /

VisiblyBot respects this rule and will stop crawling your site.
